    Cafe downstairs, bookshop upstairs. Love it. And they've got booths. More cafes need booths. The perfect equilibrium between an enclosed and an open space. I think too much, it has been said.

    Had a lovely browse and cuppa the other day, sadly the upstairs part of the cafe was not open yet, but I grabbed a couple of books (cheaper and more everyday reads than the antiquarian splendour of Lamdha up the road) and headed back downstairs. Too full to get a booth, again sadly. Coffee was great, the service friendly and the place packed with early lunchers. Even had a local writer sighting.

    Upon leaving, the owner lamented his perceived imaginative lack in not being able to read Neal Stephenson. Persevere, I say. And the couches by the fireplace upstairs, armed with some serious caffeine would be the perfect setting for some tech/cryptography/charming nerd/brain overload.

    Good food choices and some interesting books in the lounge upstairs. Only complaint is that sign says "cafe" but will only take lunch bookings from midday.
